Friday: Williams Confident Despite the Rain
After a disastrous 2011 season, Williams must bounce back in 2012. Based on the initial tests in Melbourne, the FW34 seems more competitive than its predecessor and optimism is in order for the future.
Pastor Maldonado: 8th and 17th
« We have completed the majority of our program and did a long stint this afternoon. The car is behaving well and we are heading in the right direction, but tomorrow we will have a clearer understanding after qualifying. »
Bruno Senna: 14th and 19th
« The conditions slightly disrupted our tests but it was the same for everyone. This afternoon we completed a few simulations to better understand the car’s behavior and we continue to learn. In terms of pace, we’ll see what we can do tomorrow afternoon. »

« With each session declared wet, it limited our program. Both drivers and the team performed well and we finished the day without issue. Despite the weather conditions, we learned a lot today and we look forward to tomorrow to see what we can do on a dry track. »
