Friday: A Gentle Start for Red Bull
Red Bull is not off to a flying start this weekend. The weather conditions have obviously disrupted the runs of Vettel and Webber, but according to the German, there is still work to be done to bring the RB8 to its best level.
Sebastian Vettel: 11th and 10th
« I think given the conditions it is difficult to drive a lot, but it was the same for everyone. The little time we had in the car this afternoon was okay, but now we need to find the right balance and learn a bit more about the car. The important thing is to make progress overnight. Track time is important when the car is so new. »
Mark Webber: 5th and 11th
« We learned a little today, but after nine weeks of waiting, it’s a shame the weather wasn’t better. Mother Nature played a big role and made things more challenging for everyone. We had a few laps on the dry track at the end of each session, which is a good thing. The track was drying relatively quickly, but there were always some areas that were wet. In the end, we did what we could, but we still have work to do. I look forward to getting back on track tomorrow. »
