Friday: Red Bull starts slowly

Just like in Australia, Red Bull is not at the top of the timesheet at the end of this first day. Despite his second-fastest time this morning, Vettel is not entirely satisfied with the balance of his RB8. Webber, on his side, believes there is still work to be done in terms of settings and tire management.

Friday: Red Bull starts slowly

Sebastian Vettel – 2nd and 10th

I would have liked to be a little higher in the hierarchy this afternoon, but overall we had a decent day, even though there is still much to do. The tires wear out very quickly here, which is the same for all the drivers, but I think we’re sliding a bit and I would like the car to be a bit more stable. We made a step forward today, the potential is there. We’ll see what we can do tomorrow.

Mark Webber – 6th and 7th

« We completed our entire program today, which is good, and both FP1 and FP2 went well. Obviously, it’s a different place from Melbourne, so understanding the tires is important here. The rain didn’t come, which is always good, and we have a lot of work to do regarding the car setup and the tires. As for the heat, it’s fine. Obviously, it’s hot in the car, but we are prepared for that. »
