Saturday: Williams drivers confident for the race
Although the Williams drivers don't hide their disappointment at not being able to make it into Q3, they remain confident about the race pace of the FW34 and will therefore aim for points again.
Pastor Maldonado – 6th and 13th:
« We knew it would be difficult to break into the top 10 today, but we were very close. I think our car will be better in the race so I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
We are in a good position to fight for points, so it will be important to make a clean start and have a good pace throughout the race.
Bruno Senna – 14th and 14th:
« It was the best qualifying session of the year so far for me. The grid is so tight that the slightest difference in time can make a big difference in positions, so it was difficult.
Our race simulation yesterday was good so I think we will be strong tomorrow.
Of course, I would have liked to be higher on the grid, but I couldn’t get closer to Pastor, so it was a good team effort.
