Friday: So far, so good for Williams
Williams finishes this first day with a smile. The FW34 seems to handle the heat of Bahrain well, and the team can approach tomorrow with a certain confidence.
Pastor Maldonado – 12th and 15th
« It was a busy day but we completed our program. We focused on our race pace and we are satisfied with the car’s behavior. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s qualifying.
Bruno Senna – 18th (FP2)
« Today was a difficult day due to track conditions. We found a good direction for the car and our pace during the long stints seemed consistent. We still need to make progress to ensure an optimal setup for the race. »
Valtteri Bottas – 14th (FP1)
It was really hot here but not as humid as in Malaysia. We had all the data we needed this morning so it was a productive session. It was also good for me to get more track time on a new circuit, completing a few runs. Overall, I’m happy with how it went and I think we’ll have a good race on Sunday.
