Saturday: the Force India drivers gave it their all

Paul di Resta and Nico Hülkenberg feel they gave it their all during today's qualifying session. Both Force India drivers believe that their grid positions reflect the current performance of the VJM05, but they hope to gain some places tomorrow to, perhaps, score some points at the finish.

Saturday: the Force India drivers gave it their all

Paul di Resta – 15th and 12th: [after Lewis Hamilton’s demotion]

« It has been a difficult weekend so far trying to get the car well-tuned on this track. In fact, it was only during my last stint in qualifying that we made a change to the aero balance and I felt the car was much better. Everyone is very close once again, but we have been quite aggressive with our settings and our pace on long stints has seemed promising for the moment this weekend, which gives us a reason to be optimistic for the race. The goal is to gain places tomorrow, and I think it will be a great achievement if we manage to score points. »

Nico Hülkenberg – 12th and 13th [after Lewis Hamilton’s demotion]:

« I am very satisfied with my last Q2 lap because I don’t think I could have done more in this session today. It simply reflects our current position in terms of qualifying pace. We are still understanding the new features brought to the car, but it is also clear that everyone has made a step forward, so the midfield remains very tight. The races this year have shown so far that grid position is not as crucial as before because there are many overtakes in the race, so I think we can still have a good race. »
