Thursday: Positive day for the Mercedes AMG team
Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher have expressed their delight at being able to drive in Monaco again, especially since they have been quite competitive. Both men are hopeful of being competitive this weekend in the Principality.
Nico Rosberg – 10th and 6th
It’s nice to be back and running in this city. I’m thrilled with our two sessions today. We feel like we’re heading in the right direction regarding the settings on such a demanding track. It takes a little time to find the right rhythm on the circuit, but it worked well, even though we didn’t drive as much as we had hoped this afternoon due to the bad weather. I’m looking forward to Saturday and Sunday.
Michael Schumacher – 11th and 9th
It’s always nice to hit the track for the first laps in Monaco and to get back into the rhythm in such a special place. During this morning’s session, I was immediately able to see the areas where safety has been improved compared to last year, and it’s great that the organizers are making efforts to make things even better each year. The weather was mixed today, making any conclusions difficult to draw, but my feeling in the car on this circuit is positive.
