Reminder: The schedule for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with an early race on Sunday
Attention, no alarm clock failure allowed this weekend! Due to time zone difference and nighttime race, here's a reminder of the schedule for this special event.
After Melbourne in Australia, the Las Vegas GP is the second Formula 1 edition with the largest time difference: 9 hours ahead of France! For comparison, Austin and Miami have “only” 7 and 6 hours of time difference. Here is the first explanation for these special schedules.
The second one comes from the local programming with very late sessions: EL2 and qualifications will start at midnight local time! With the nights being cool (10° during the Saturday night), the concern around tire temperature is even stronger as these nocturnal schedules are not found anywhere else.
This leads to an unprecedented situation: the Grand Prix will not take place on the same day depending on the locations around the world. The lights will go out on Saturday at 10 pm in Vegas, while it will already be 7 am on Sunday in France.
To make sure not to miss anything, here are the exact schedules of the sessions in French time!
