Friday: Nothing to report at Mercedes

A normal Friday for Mercedes AMG. The drivers collected a lot of data which will now need to be analyzed in order to be able to achieve a good result in qualifying and then in the race. The key, as often, will be tire management, particularly the rear tires which are heavily strained in Valencia.

Friday: Nothing to report at Mercedes

Michael Schumacher – 7th and 4th:

We worked relatively well today with a lot of data that needs to be analyzed in our debriefing with the qualifications. The second session started with a clutch issue, but it was quickly resolved. Obviously, we are aware that it will be a challenge for everyone, particularly preserving the rear tires, but that was expected. Let’s wait and see what we can do tomorrow.

Nico Rosberg – 9th and 10th:

I’m happy, we were able to learn a lot with little and a lot of fuel. Even though it was colder today, the conditions were still warm but I think we understand the rear tire behavior better now. It was difficult not to lock up the front tires under braking. I’m looking forward to the next two days and Sunday’s race should be exciting.
