Friday: With Glock sick, Pic steps up at Marussia

Timo Glock was not at his best today, and the Marussia team therefore transferred part of the program assigned to the German to Charles Pic. The French driver was delighted with this change, which allowed him to tackle new things in preparation for a race weekend.

Friday: With Glock sick, Pic steps up at Marussia

Timo Glock – 24th and 21st:

« I am delighted with the work done today, as it hasn’t been an easy day of testing for me. It seems I’ve had food poisoning these past few days and for a moment, I must admit I wasn’t feeling very well. Back in the car today, I felt a bit better and I hope I’m on the road to recovery. With the program completed, the car behaved well in my opinion, so it’s a good start from this perspective. The goal now is to work with the data, so a lot of work ahead of me, but I will try to rest for tomorrow. »

Charles Pic – 21st and 22nd:

An interesting day for me as my schedule was slightly different than usual. The engineers changed a few small things to help Timo, which meant I had more race preparation work to do. It was a good thing for me and I am happy with these new developments. In the end, we seem to be heading in the right direction regarding the settings and with all the laps covered, we have a lot of data to study tonight. I think once we’ve studied that and we’re back tomorrow, we’ll find what we lost in Canada and we can start working on the gap with the cars in front. For me, it’s been a good start, and I’m glad there’s even more to do this weekend.
