Sunday: Missed Opportunities Cascade at Williams

In high spirits on the urban circuit of Valencia, the Williams drivers could have aimed for more than just the single point that eventually added to the Grove team's tally. In fact, Pastor Maldonado could have hoped for the podium without a collision with Hamilton, which, after a penalty, cost him the point he managed to retain, benefiting Bruno Senna despite a penalty and a puncture.

Sunday: Missed Opportunities Cascade at Williams

Bruno Senna – 10th:

« I am relatively disappointed in my day as we had a good rhythm and the right strategy. It would have been difficult but it was working well for us. However, after losing time with a puncture and then receiving a penalty drive-through, it would have been tough to get into the points, even in a race like today.

We were lucky with the timing of the safety car intervention, but to focus on the positive, we were good at managing the tires and thus looked competitive. Now we need to put this behind us and consider it a lesson learned.

Pastor Maldonado – 12th [after penalty]:

« It was a race filled with bad luck for us as we seemed well on our way to finishing on the podium. We had difficulties at the start of the race, but at the end I overtook Lewis [Hamilton] and he moved back towards me. I jumped on the curb, but there was nothing I could do and we made contact. I was on a great lap after a very good race. The car was performing well and we had a good pace. »
