Timo Glock is feeling better and will be present at Silverstone
The Marussia team stated in a press release that its driver, Timo Glock, is feeling better following the health issues encountered in Valencia. The German driver was unable to participate in the race, but he is now feeling better and is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel next weekend at the Silverstone circuit.
Timo Glock was unable to take part in the qualifying session of the European Grand Prix last weekend due to intestinal problems, but given his performances during the three free practice sessions, the German driver was allowed to start the race.
The Marussia driver ultimately had to give up racing in Valencia due to his health issues. But all that is now behind him and he will be ready for Marussia’s home Grand Prix next weekend at Silverstone: “I feel much better overall. I still feel a bit weak in the legs, but otherwise I’m fine.”
Glock is well on his way to recovering from his health issues and also to resuming physical training, necessary for driving a F1 single-seater: «It was obviously very disappointing to have been forced not to race in Valencia, but that’s just how things go sometimes. You can’t ignore the symptoms. I’m now on the path to a full recovery, although it will still take a few days before I’m allowed to resume training.»
