Sunday: Maldonado reprimanded, Senna saves the day for Williams
Involved in a clash with Sergio Pérez after his first stop, Pastor Maldonado ended up having to make an early second stop that ruined his race and was reprimanded by the stewards. Incisive, Bruno Senna delivers the points for 9th place to Williams.
Bruno Senna – 9th:
« It was a good race for us today despite starting further back than we would have liked, and we gained a few positions in the first lap. We then had an intense race battling with the Force Indias and the Saubers. I’m happy with the result even though we could qualify a bit higher during the next race. We will look to score more points in the future. »
Pastor Maldonado – 16th:
« Our race was compromised following the incident with Pérez. I am disappointed because the car seemed much stronger after the pit stop and until the end of the race. I hope to recover in the championship in the upcoming races and help the team be at the top again. »
