Saturday: Double Top 10 for Force India
Force India achieved a great result this Saturday by placing both of its cars in the top 10. Nico Hülkenberg will start 4th, Paul di Resta 9th. This sets the stage for an exciting race and the opportunity to close the gap with their rivals, Sauber and Williams.
Nico Hülkenberg – 12th and 5th [4th on the grid]:
« I am very excited because it is always special to qualify well, particularly for your home race. It was a session where a lot happened because we ran with slick tires, intermediates, and rain tires. I think the trickiest conditions were in Q3 when I almost went off the track due to aquaplaning on my out-lap. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to keep going, but there was truly little grip on the track. When you start high on the grid, you naturally want to finish well in the race as well, and I hope we can be strong tomorrow. It will probably be dry tomorrow, and there are a lot of fast cars behind us, so we will need to be careful and have a good strategy. »
Paul di Resta – 13th and 9th:
« It was a difficult session and the rain didn’t make things easy because there was a lot of aquaplaning. At the end of Q3, I was ready for my last lap but was hindered by traffic and didn’t manage to complete the lap I was hoping for. Nevertheless, we are in the top 10 and I am happy, but you always want to be higher on the grid. We think it will be dry tomorrow, so it was important to do a lot of laps in the last practice session this morning. We are definitely in a good position to score points. »
