Saturday: A bit of disappointment at Force India
The Sahara Force India team has a competitive car on the Hungaroring track, but Nico Hülkenberg and Paul di Resta were unable to fully exploit their car and the track conditions to achieve the perfect lap. Both drivers still hope to score big points in tomorrow's race.
Nico Hülkenberg – 14th and 10th:
«I am happy to be in the top 10 but not satisfied with my fast lap in Q3. I pushed too hard and made a mistake, messed up my tires and couldn’t recover. It’s a bit frustrating because my Q2 time would have been enough to be sixth on the grid. So I’m a little disappointed, but at the same time, I’m focusing on the positives because we were competitive throughout the session. Now, we need to do the same in the race and score some points.»
Paul di Resta – 9th and 12th:
I think there was more potential to get out of the car today, but I couldn’t set a time when it mattered in Q2. The main problem was finding a position on the grid, and I had to push very hard on my out lap to get a bit of space, which likely damaged my tires. It’s a shame because we were really fast in Q1 and the car is working well here. We can still have a good race, but it won’t be easy with the intense heat and the fact that it’s never easy to overtake here.
