Dani Clos will drive the F112 next Friday at the Spa-Francorchamps track. The Spanish driver will replace Narain Karthikeyan for the 5th time since the beginning of the season, after Spain, Great Britain, Germany, and Hungary.

Clos expressed delight at this new opportunity offered by the HRT team: « Once again, I have the chance to get in the car and work for the team, and it satisfies me. Especially because after having had track time during the Grand Prix before the summer break, it is very important for me to stay active and continue to grow alongside my teammates Pedro and Narain. »

Another reserve driver was hoping to do the same this weekend, and that’s Jérôme d’Ambrosio. The Belgian would have liked to have the opportunity to drive the Lotus E20 at home, but after discussions with the Enstone team, it will ultimately not happen, as he explained, quoted by the daily *De Morgen*: « It’s the result of a joint decision. It wasn’t imposed on me. If I were a team manager, I would have certainly made the same decision. Lotus is currently third in the constructors’ championship, behind Red Bull and McLaren. We are only one point behind McLaren and ahead of Ferrari at the moment. So obviously, this changes things, and every minute, every detail, counts. »
