Sunday: Maldonado finally scores points again with Williams
For the first time since his victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, Pastor Maldonado leaves a Grand Prix with points. The Venezuelan had a relatively calm race, finishing in 8th position, while his teammate ruined all chances of a good result on the first lap by colliding with Rosberg.
Pastor Maldonado – 8th:
« It was a good race for me. The car had a great pace and was very strong, but it proved difficult to overtake, especially towards the end. We thought we were faster than the cars in front, but the nature of the circuit makes it difficult to close the gap. We’re back in the points, so I’m happy about that, it gives us a lot of confidence before the next race. »
Bruno Senna – 14th:
« We got off to a good start, managing to overtake two cars, but unfortunately I had an accident with Rosberg in the second corner after taking the inside line. The race was slightly compromised from there, but we still had a good pace. The car seemed very competitive, which allowed us to overtake a few cars, and the tires were responding well. We are now going to Korea, and we will try to score some points there. »
