Friday: Red Bull Efficient but Can Do Better
Red Bull seems to be performing well again at the Yeongam circuit. Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel delivered impressive performances on this first day, and it's now necessary to analyze the data and, above all, confirm it tomorrow against the competition.
Mark Webber – 3rd and 2nd:
« We had a good program today and I think we both managed to make the most of it. We will now look at where we can improve this evening. It’s always a compromise on a circuit like this with a little bit of top speed in the first sector and then the last one which is quite winding. It’s a bit like Budapest, so you need a bit of downforce here. So far everything is going well, we have good information and the guys will now work tonight. »
Sebastian Vettel – 5th and 1st:
« Overall, we can be quite pleased, but I think it’s very close. I’m not satisfied with all the relays we did today, but I think the track changed a lot this morning, it was better than expected. This afternoon it was quite slippery at the beginning but then it improved, so overall, the car was behaving well and now we have to see what we can do tomorrow. I think we need to improve to beat the others. »
