Friday: Studious evening in perspective at HRT

Struggling with the change of direction in fast corners, HRT and Pedro de la Rosa will need to continue the work started today to achieve better balance. Meanwhile, Narain Karthikeyan relishes the chance to race at home and hopes his issues will be resolved tomorrow.

Friday: Studious evening in perspective at HRT

Pedro de la Rosa – 24th and 21st:

I liked the circuit. It is really beautiful and offers a lot of challenge. You have to use the curbs a lot and the car suffers a lot, so we have to drive carefully. Overall, I had good feelings about the car’s balance, especially in the afternoon when I was able to do more laps. But we still have a lot of room for improvement and if we can improve the car’s balance, we will be able to be better. Especially in direction changes, because we lose too much time in fast corners and we can fix that. Now, we need to keep working on the car’s settings to have a good qualifying session tomorrow.

Narain Karthikeyan – 22nd and 23rd:

It was an enormous feeling to drive in India once again, at home. The first session went very well and in the afternoon we decided to change the car’s balance to improve certain aspects. We had just put on the soft tires when, unfortunately, we encountered a hydraulic problem that prevented us from improving our times. But the problem should be fixed by tomorrow, so I hope I can have a good qualifying session.
