Sunday: End of the line in the points for Vergne and Toro Rosso

The Toro Rosso team ends the 2012 season on a high note thanks to Jean-Eric Vergne's presence in the top 10 of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Frenchman finishes 8th and brings 4 more points to the Faenza team. Daniel Ricciardo was less fortunate with the weather and tire changes: the Australian finishes 13th.

Sunday: End of the line in the points for Vergne and Toro Rosso

Jean-Eric Vergne – 8th:

« It’s nice to finish 8th, however, I’m not too happy with myself because I made the decision to stay on dry tires for a long time, and it didn’t turn out to be the right choice, costing me a lap. The team gave me the opportunity to decide the race strategy as I had the best view from the cockpit and I learned important lessons today. However, if the rain had stayed away, it would have been a good decision! After the restart behind the safety car, I was trying to overtake Glock, but when I caught up to him, those in front braked hard, and I ran into him, and I have already apologized for that. My pace on slicks in the wet conditions was really very good and it’s nice to finish the last race of the season in the points. »

Daniel Ricciardo – 13th:

The start was very chaotic with several cars going off track and people to avoid. I managed to gain a few places and my pace seemed good. I was trying to catch up to those ahead as the conditions were constantly changing. Around mid-race, we were in good shape, being eighth or ninth. More rain came after my first stop to put on new dry tires, so I had to come in again, which obviously cost me time. Simply put, we shouldn’t have made too many stops.
