Saturday: The Lotus slightly set back at Silverstone

Romain Grosjean and Kimi Räikkönen were very close, proof that they got the maximum out of the E21 according to the Finn. However, the performance was not really there, but the 2007 world champion hopes to move up in the race tomorrow.

Saturday: The Lotus slightly set back at Silverstone

Romain Grosjean – 5th and 8th:

« While we were quick with the hard tires at the start of qualifying, we weren’t as competitive with the mediums. I don’t know if it’s the weather or something else, but we weren’t as good as during this morning’s free practice, which means we couldn’t qualify better on the grid. We’ve worked hard and in the right direction, but the tires always play an important role. I’m quite satisfied with my performance today. »

Kimi Räikkönen – 8th and 9th:

« It was a very tight qualifying session between the team’s two cars, so I think we got the maximum out of the car today. It wasn’t ideal as we would have liked to be closer to the top of the grid, but that’s how it is. We will approach the race aiming for a better result than in qualifying. Usually, that’s what happens for us, and hopefully, it will be the case again tomorrow. »
