Red Bull with Felix da Costa and Sainz Jr for the Rookies Days
Red Bull is expected to have Antonio Felix da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jr run during the young driver tests scheduled at Silverstone in just over two weeks.
Red Bull Racing team announced that they would have Antonio Felix da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jr, both members of the energy drink brand’s young driver development program, driving during the three days of testing for young drivers scheduled from July 17 to 19 at Silverstone.
The Austrian team announced, before the British Grand Prix, that the Portuguese driver will run during the first two days while Carlos Sainz’s son will take the wheel of the RB9 on the third and final day.
However, following the events at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix – with the numerous tire issues, there are rumors that these three test days could be dedicated to tires with the possibility of seeing regular drivers being allowed to participate. If this is confirmed, it could potentially change the situation for the two young drivers.
