Friday: A good start to the weekend for the Marussia drivers

Jules Bianchi was thrilled to get back into a Formula 1 cockpit, even though the day wasn't ideal. The Frenchman is nonetheless optimistic for the rest of the weekend. His teammate Max Chilton lost a bit of track time but feels he has made progress.

Friday: A good start to the weekend for the Marussia drivers

Jules Bianchi – 20th and 21st:

« The summer break felt like an eternity for me, so in the end, it’s nice to be back in the car and have the second half of the season start. However, it was a bit of a frustrating day; first of all, the weather made it difficult to find a good rhythm, although the experience on the wet could be useful later this weekend. There’s work to do to make the car better here, but on paper, this should be a circuit that suits us better than the last races before the break. »

Max Chilton – 18th and 22nd:

I’m delighted with the way things started for me today and the progress made during free practice 1. The car was good and the program went well. Things looked promising for free practice 2 as well, but unfortunately, we lost the last 30 minutes due to a steering rack change. The guys worked hard to ensure I could get back out at the end, so hopefully for a more straightforward day tomorrow.
