Peugeot tests its 9X8 with a rear spoiler
After a year and a half of difficulties with its Hypercar, Peugeot has announced that major changes are to be made to the 9X8. These were tested at Le Castellet shortly before Christmas.
It’s no secret to anyone. With its audacious Hypercar concept, Peugeot has put itself in difficulty. The French team is the only one on the WEC grid not to have a rear wing.
This lack of size has an impact on the car’s performance, which is lagging behind its competitors. But after the 2023 season, Peugeot has indicated that it will bring improvements to its 9X8.
It appears that the engineers from the French brand have worked on this since just before Christmas, a video of the 9X8 at Castellet was broadcast. In this one, we can see that the Hypercar is equipped with a rear spoiler.
After the video went viral, Peugeot responded with a simple tweet indicating that photos would soon be unveiled.
