Friday: Chilton and Bianchi discover the Buddh circuit

Max Chilton and Jules Bianchi both discovered the Buddh circuit today. On a demanding track, the two drivers felt quite at ease and seem confident in their battle at the back of the grid with Caterham. Marussia even brought new parts here, proving that development at the bottom of the standings hasn't stopped and that the fight for the last places could be very interesting to follow at the end of this season.

Friday: Chilton and Bianchi discover the Buddh circuit

Max Chilton – 22nd and 22nd:

« Today was quite a long day of learning the track as it’s my first experience on the Buddh International Circuit. I’ve struggled with the car’s balance all day, so it hasn’t made the acclimatization process very easy. It’s also a demanding circuit, leaving no room for error, and I had a few scares. We are trying a new part on the car, and we are hesitant to introduce it on the track. Hopefully, by analyzing data from both cars and examining all options, we can improve tomorrow. »

Jules Bianchi – 20th and 20th:

« It’s nice to finally get a feel of the Buddh International Circuit and I’m happy with how my first day went. We tried a few small things on the car to give us some options for the rest of the weekend. Our performance compared to the Caterhams is good, and we are happy with the pace on long runs. We are confident for the race. »
