Mercedes and Toro Rosso turn up the volume

The presentations of the F1 cars start at the end of January, and while some teams have unveiled their single-seaters in the form of 3D modeling or in reality like McLaren or Ferrari, some teams have decided to prepare something else.

Indeed, Mercedes and Toro Rosso have respectively revealed a video and audio recording of their cars launched at full speed on the track. Although the official tests have not yet begun, the teams have the possibility to carry out a promotional filming on the track, under certain conditions defined by the current regulations.

This is what Mercedes and Toro Rosso have decided to do, taking advantage of this opportunity to share a recording with their fans that will allow the most anxious to discover the sound of Mercedes and Renault engines on the track at full speed. The W05 was driven for about forty kilometers by Nico Rosberg (#6), while the STR9 was exchanged between Jean-Eric Vergne (#25) and Daniil Kvyat (#26).

It should be noted that Force India also unveiled its VJM07, with Nico Hülkenberg (#27) on the Silverstone circuit, like Mercedes, as part of this authorized promotional drive that served as a shakedown for the Indian team’s black, orange, green and white single-seater. As for Toro Rosso, this sound recording was made at the Italian Misano circuit.
