Jerez Testing Live – Day 2
MotorsInside is present at Jerez for the first private testing session of Formula 1 in 2014, and we offer you to follow them live and in full.
Winter testing continues this Wednesday at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain. After a first day dominated by Kimi Räikkönen and marked by limited running from the teams, delays from certain teams, starting with Red Bull and McLaren, and mechanical issues, like the one that led to Lewis Hamilton’s crash, teams will continue their work on fine-tuning and adjusting the single-seaters.
Pirelli will also be involved, but will bring specific tires for these tests to Jerez, designed to work in these cool conditions that caused numerous problems in previous years.
For this second day, the following drivers will be on track, barring any changes: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), Jenson Button (McLaren), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India), Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber), Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso), Valtteri Bottas (Williams), and Marcus Ericsson (Caterham). As for Marussia, Jules Bianchi was initially scheduled, but the Russian team’s missed first day – which should be present this Wednesday – could change the situation. You can also find the complete testing schedule.
As the tests are not televised, the MotorsInside editorial team will hold a live text feed throughout the day to keep you informed of the on-track activity. The tests will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.
