Bahrain Tests 1 Live – Day 1
MotorsInside invites you to follow the second session of private Formula 1 tests in 2014, in Bahrain, on the Sakhir circuit, live and in full.
The small world of F1 will unpack for two full weeks in Bahrain, where two private testing sessions will take place, the first starting today and ending on February 22. These tests will provide the teams with the opportunity to continue the development started in Jerez in January, as well as to verify that the issues encountered in Spain have been resolved. Data collection, performance evaluation, and testing of new parts will also be abundant in a hot environment very different from the Andalusian winter.
These first tests in Bahrain will undoubtedly put the V6 turbo engines and the cooling systems of the single-seaters to the test, including that of the Red Bull RB10, whose difficulties encountered in Jerez will be on the minds of all observers at the time of the first laps of the Austrian car.
For this first day, on the track will be: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (Ferrari), Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Kevin Magnussen (McLaren), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India), Adrian Sutil (Sauber), Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso), Felipe Massa (Williams), Jules Bianchi (Marussia), and Robin Frijns (Caterham). You can also find the full schedule for these tests.
Since the tests are not televised, the Motors Inside editorial team will host a live text coverage throughout the day to keep you informed of on-track activity. The tests will start at 7:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM. A break may be taken by the different teams around 11:00 AM to allow drivers, as well as teams and observers, to have a meal.
