Bahrain Test 1 Live – Day 2

After a turbulent first testing session in Jerez, Formula 1 returned to the track at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, this time complete, as the Lotus E22 made its first public run yesterday. The day was led by Nico Hülkenberg in his Force India, who will be back today, along with Fernando Alonso, who was following him on the timing sheets. Yesterday was again marked by difficulties encountered by teams using a Renault V6 turbo engine, with Red Bull, Lotus, and Toro Rosso not managing more than thirty laps between them on the Bahrain track. Williams and Marussia were also stuck in the pits for a long time.

These initial tests in Bahrain will undoubtedly put the V6 turbo engines and the cooling systems of the single-seaters to the test, including the Red Bull RB10, whose difficulties encountered in Jerez will be on the mind of all observers during the first laps of the Austrian car.

For this second day, the following drivers will be on track: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (Ferrari), Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Kevin Magnussen (McLaren), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India), Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber), Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso), Valtteri Bottas (Williams), Max Chilton (Marussia), and Kamui Kobayashi (Caterham). You can also find the complete schedule of these tests.

As the tests are not being televised, the editorial team at MotorsInside will host a text-based live commentary throughout the day to keep you updated on the on-track activities. The tests will start at 7:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM. A break could be observed by the different teams around 11:00 AM to allow drivers, as well as teams and observers, to have a meal.
