Bahrain Test 1 Live – Day 4
MotorsInside invites you to follow the second session of Formula 1 private testing in 2014, in Bahrain, at the Sakhir circuit, live and in full.
Fourth and final day of the first session of winter testing in Bahrain, at the Sakhir circuit, which will host the fourth Grand Prix of the season next April. The first day of these private tests was marked by the first public run of Lotus, even though it was brief, as well as the ongoing difficulties of Red Bull and Toro Rosso.
During the second day, if the situation seemed to improve a little for Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull, as well as for Toro Rosso, Lotus was only able to complete about twenty laps, leaving Romain Grosjean with a total of 26 laps in two days. Kevin Magnussen also set the fastest time of the day.
The third day, finally, saw once again a Mercedes engine at the top of the timesheet, with Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes this time. Red Bull and Lotus encountered several issues again, preventing them from running as much as the others. By the end of this third day, only Marussia had run less – due to numerous engine problems – than the two teams that dominated the end of the 2013 season.
For this fourth day, the following drivers will be on track, unless there is a change in schedule: Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull), Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), Pastor Maldonado (Lotus), Jenson Button (McLaren), Sergio Pérez (Force India), Adrian Sutil (Sauber), Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso), Valtteri Bottas/Felipe Massa (Williams), Jules Bianchi (Marussia), and Kamui Kobayashi (Caterham). You can also find the full schedule of these tests.
The tests not being televised, the editorial team of MotorsInside will host a live text feed throughout the day to keep you informed of the on-track activity. The tests will begin at 7:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM.
