Bahrain Tests 2 Live – Day 3

Conclusion and end of the winter tests at Sakhir, where the teams will have one last opportunity to run their cars before the first free practice sessions of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, from March 14 to 16. On this occasion, long stint simulations, or even race simulations, and qualifying runs could multiply over these four days if, and only if, problems do not significantly reduce the teams’ track time.

The first two days were dominated, in terms of timing, by Sergio Pérez in his Force India, but the Mexican was nearly two seconds behind the times set by Mercedes last week. The German team, however, encountered two relatively significant issues that prematurely ended their first two days of running, on Thursday and Friday. Nothing, however, in comparison to the problems faced by teams powered by Renault, still grappling with multiple difficulties, as was the case for Lotus and Caterham on Friday. Red Bull was able to run relatively smoothly on Friday, and McLaren experienced a problem that kept them in the pits for nearly 5 hours.

For this third day, on the track, unless there is a change of schedule: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Kevin Magnussen (McLaren), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India), Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber), Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso), Valtteri Bottas (Williams), Jules Bianchi (Marussia) and Kamui Kobayashi (Caterham). You can also find the complete schedule of these tests.

The tests not being televised, the Motors Inside editorial team will provide live text coverage throughout the day to keep you informed of the on-track activity. The tests will start at 7:00 AM and will end at 3:30 PM. A half-hour break will be observed at 11:00 AM.
