Spanish Grand Prix 2014: Qualifying Live
Starting at 1:45 PM, join the casinoenligne.uk.com editorial team to experience the fifth qualifying session of the 2014 Formula 1 season, on the Catalunya circuit in Spain.
Formula 1 returns to Europe after the first four races in Oceania, Asia, and the Middle East. And, as often, the European season kicks off in Spain, at the Circuit de Catalunya, located in Montmeló, not far from Barcelona.
Friday’s day was not very original and did not reassure Mercedes’ opponents either since the German team once again demonstrated that its pace was superior to the competition, with Lewis Hamilton setting the fastest time in Free Practice 1 and 2 quite easily. Although Nico Rosberg experienced an overheating problem during FP1, it was quickly resolved, allowing the German to take second place in FP2 and show up at the front during FP3 held on Saturday morning. The fight for the podium, behind Mercedes, should be between Red Bull and Ferrari.
Unlike in Australia, Malaysia, or China, the qualifying session for the 2014 Spanish Grand Prix will take place on a dry, abrasive track that will put the tires to the test, especially tomorrow during the race.
