Saturday: Bottas and Massa in pursuit of the podium for Williams

Valtteri Bottas (n°77) – 7th and 4th

For the Finn, second place is an excellent result, even if he could have hoped for better: « We have to be happy with the result. It was really, really tight. In the last relay, there was traffic which cost me an opportunity to improve the time, but luckily I had a good lap in the first relay in Q3. »

For tonight’s race, he is aiming for a fight with the red bull: « We have been competitive all weekend so I am looking forward to the race. I am happy with the car […] I know that we can compete with the Red Bulls and we have excellent straight-line speed, so we’ll see. »

Felipe Massa (No.19) – 2nd and 5th

The Brazilian, around 2nd fastest during FP3, believes he could have achieved 3rd fastest, but mainly wants to focus on the positives: « It was a good session, our cars definitely showed good performance. It was quite tight from 3rd to 6th place, with 5 cars within 1 tenth, so 3rd place was possible. Unfortunately, I didn’t achieve the perfect lap and it wasn’t enough to be 3rd, but I can’t be disappointed. I am happy with the car we have. The race is long, so let’s try to make it a good one. »
