Official: Chilton penalized after collision with Bianchi
Following the first lap clash between the two Marussia cars, Max Chilton was found guilty and will receive a 3-place grid penalty for the Austrian Grand Prix.
The Canadian Grand Prix opened with a huge collision between a drifting Max Chilton in the first chicane and an involuntarily involved Jules Bianchi who ended his race in the wall. Both drivers retired, but the race stewards decided to look into the incident.
And the decision has been made: Max Chilton – who retired today for the first time in his career – will be penalized three places at the next Grand Prix which will take place in Austria.
