Official: Maldonado still with Lotus F1 in 2015
On the sidelines of the German Grand Prix of Formula 1, Gérard Lopez, the owner and director of the Lotus F1 Team, confirmed that Pastor Maldonado would still be there in 2015.
Arriving at the start of the season with Lotus, Pastor Maldonado will continue his journey with the Enstone team in 2015. The Venezuelan driver, financially supported by the state oil company PDVSA, has been confirmed by Gérard Lopez, the owner of the team.
In an interview published on the Lotus F1 Team website, the Luxembourger stated: « I don’t want to say too much, but since it’s mid-season, I can confirm 50% of our driver duo for 2015 because Pastor is with us next year. Despite the difficulties we’ve had so far this season, he recognizes our true potential as a team, and we recognize his true potential as a driver. We are going to do great things together. »
