Jean Todt gives some news about Michael Schumacher

Since his return to his Swiss home after months of hospitalization following his skiing accident in December 2013, little news has leaked about Michael Schumacher’s health condition.

This week, Jean Todt, very close to the seven-time Formula 1 world champion since their shared successes at Ferrari, shared some information about the current life of the German driver: “He is at home; I saw him at the beginning of the week with his family. He is fighting. It was a tragic accident that can happen to anyone since he fell and landed badly on a rock while skiing normally,” declared the FIA president to RTL radio.

Rather positive news that confirms Schumacher’s rehabilitation is continuing intensively, as Jean Todt observed during a visit to the German’s home the week before the Japanese Grand Prix: « Today he is fighting, we can hope things will improve. The important thing is that he lives, that his family is close to him. We truly believe things will get better, it will take time, and then he needs to be left alone, » he continues.

The Frenchman also states as an obvious fact: « What we can say is that he will probably never be able to drive a Formula 1 car again. »
