Ferrari: Räikkönen is rather happy to see Vettel arrive
Kimi Räikkönen stated that he was happy with his future partnership with Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari next year. Their good relationship should allow the team to return to the top of the standings.
Kimi Räikkönen is not the most talkative when it comes to discussing his teammates. However, the upcoming arrival of Sebastian Vettel, with whom he gets along quite well, alongside him at Ferrari seems to make the Finn happy: « The future will tell, but I think it’s pretty nice to have him with us in the team. »
The 2007 world champion believes that their rivalry within Ferrari should not, however, change their good relationship: “Of course, I haven’t worked with him in the same team yet. He’s the one I know the best among the other [drivers in the paddock] and our relationship has always been very straightforward, so I don’t think it will change anything. I think it will be normal and we can get the best out of the team together.”
For his part, Sebastian Vettel is also not worried about his partnership with Räikkönen: « Kimi is probably the least complicated driver on the grid. I don’t expect complications because I think we have a good relationship. We have a lot of respect for each other. »
