Ferrari presents its SF15-T
Scuderia Ferrari presented its new 2015 car, the SF15-T, this afternoon. It will be on track in Jerez tomorrow in the hands of Sebastian Vettel.
After a disappointing 2014 year, Ferrari hopes to bounce back this season. The new car, named the SF15-T, will be tasked with bringing the team back to the top of the standings.
It will be entrusted to the four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, a newcomer to the team, and the Finnish driver Kimi Räikkönen, who will be starting his fifth season with the reds. It will hit the track tomorrow for the first official winter testing session at the Jerez circuit.
Maurizio Arrivabene, the new sporting director who is about to start his first season at the helm of a Formula 1 team, already finds the new red car very sexy: Ferrari used to say a long time ago that the best car was the one that won. Last year, the car was ugly, and on top of that, it didn’t win. Aesthetically speaking, I like this year’s car; I don’t know about its performance, but it’s really sexy!
He continues: “The car was ready in December. We made some modifications that we thought were interesting. I’m not saying we pretend to win the championship, but we can hope to win at least two races.”
