Ferrari presents us with its vision of the future of F1
In the midst of the debate regarding the evolution and future of Formula 1, Ferrari's design office has come up with a concept single-seater that could, according to the new regulations, be the standard for the discipline in a more or less near future.
Ferrari has published on its website a concept single-seater that could represent the future of Formula 1, amid ongoing debate about its technical future.
A meeting is scheduled to take place this Tuesday in Geneva between Formula 1 stakeholders and the governing bodies to discuss the direction the sport should take in the coming years. More powerful engines, wider tires, and other ideas will be addressed.
However, there is little chance that such a revolutionary single-seater will see the light of day in Formula 1 anytime soon, with its double front wing, half-faired rear wheels, and design that somewhat resembles the shapes of certain super touring car models.
The design office of the Scuderia, in collaboration with its aerodynamicists, have therefore given a first glimpse of what their interpretation of a future regulation might be.
