The version B of Force India expected mid-season
The evolution of the Force India team's single-seater, which was supposed to appear for the first European Grand Prix in Spain, is expected to only take place mid-season, as communicated by the team on the sidelines of the Chinese Grand Prix.
Force India is experiencing a rather complicated start to the year 2015. The Indian team has been unable to properly complete its winter testing program due to a delay in the production of the new car, the VJM08.
A version B of this car was supposed to appear at the start of the European campaign in Spain, but the team has just announced that this appearance will ultimately be postponed to mid-season: « Unfortunately, our progress has experienced a slight delay and I don’t think we’ll be able to see the next evolution of the car before, probably, mid-season ». specified Rob Fernley
Despite these difficulties, the team managed to score its first points during the inaugural race in Australia, before significantly regressing in the hierarchy at the next Grand Prix in Malaysia. However, Vijay Mallya, the team owner, is eager to congratulate the members of his team: « Everyone in the team deserves congratulations for the impressive reliability of the VJM08, but there is still a lot of work to be done regarding the development of the car. We know the areas where we need to improve, and I am impressed by the team’s attitude. Morale is good, and we will continue to fight to score as many points as possible during the upcoming races. »
