A new livery for McLaren in Barcelona
The first European Grand Prix of the season will be an opportunity to unveil a new livery of the McLaren-Honda driven by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.
While the colors displayed by the team since the beginning of the season are up for debate, McLaren announced today that their cars will sport a new livery starting from the next Grand Prix in Spain, at the Barcelona circuit.
Without being revolutionary, these new colors should nevertheless remain in the gray, with several shades. Last February, Ron Dennis explained the choice of the new car’s colors in these terms: « It’s the McLaren livery, there has always been a combination of these colors, and they will only change for commercial reasons. »
This might suggest that a sponsor could make an appearance on the body of the Honda-powered MP4-30. McLaren accompanied its announcement with a movie-style poster, featuring Tag Heuer’s slogan: “Don’t crack under pressure.”
The new livery of the single-seater will be unveiled this Thursday, ending the suspense maintained by the British team.
