Drivers’ and Constructors’ rankings after Paris
Lucas di Grassi's latest victory further consolidated his lead in the Drivers' championship standings. Despite his fine comeback, his main rival, Sébastien Buemi, once again lost precious points in the race for the title! The situation remains unchanged among the manufacturers: Renault e.Dams maintains its lead over ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport.
The Lucas di Grassi festival in the streets of Paris this Saturday was unprecedented in the 100% electric discipline. For the first time in 18 races, a driver wins two rounds in a row!
After taking the lead in the drivers’ standings in Long Beach, the Brazilian driver has consequently created a small lead. 11 points now separate him from Sébastien Buemi, who nevertheless remains in the race for the final victory.
Revealing figure of the dominance of the two drivers: Di Grassi and Buemi have won 5 of the 7 ePrix of this 2015-2016 season. Moreover, the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport driver was disqualified in Mexico after stepping onto the top of the podium!
Third in the overall standings, Sam Bird lost 14 more points to di Grassi in Paris. Worse still, Jérôme d’Ambrosio, winner in Mexico, is now very far behind with his scoreless finish. Di Grassi now has almost twice as many points as the Dragon Racing driver!
The most spectacular progression in this ranking is credited to Jean-Eric Vergne. With his 18 points earned around Les Invalides, the French driver now finds himself in eleventh position.
For the anecdote, let’s also note Nick Heidfeld’s fastest lap, his first of the season, which allows him to add 2 points to his personal tally.

On a collective level, DS Virgin Racing achieved a great accomplishment. The Franco-British team scored a total of 29 points yesterday, the best among the 9 teams competing in Paris. However, there is still a long way to go to catch up with the Franco-German duel. Renault e.Dams remains at the top of the constructors’ championship by securing one more point than the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport team. The consistency of the Buemi-Prost duo is more effective than the Di Grassi-Abt pair, where only the Brazilian seems to play in the big leagues.

As a reminder, the last ePrix of this season will take place in London at the beginning of July. Two races will be held that weekend: the first on Saturday, July 2nd, and the second on Sunday, July 3rd.
The next ePrix will take place in Berlin on Saturday, May 21, on a new circuit, laid out around the Brandenburg Gate.
