Hamilton: It’s night and day compared to Singapore!
Lewis Hamilton bounced back from a disappointing weekend in Singapore. The Briton scored an easy pole position against Nico Rosberg, who was in more difficulty. He remains focused on Sunday's race, which could mark an important step towards winning the world title.
Lewis Hamilton’s weekend has been seamless so far. The reigning triple world champion confirmed his good form this morning by securing pole position with a comfortable margin over his teammate, Nico Rosberg.
Before thinking about the race, Hamilton wants above all to enjoy his performance: « I feel very good. I feel very lucky with the car’s behavior here. The guys did an excellent job to get the desired performance. I’m really very happy to have been able to extract the maximum from the car. It’s day and night compared to Singapore! »
Already the author of pole positions that did not turn into victories, Hamilton remains confident but focused before approaching the race tomorrow: « When I’m at the top as I have been since the beginning of the weekend, it usually goes well for me on Sunday. Let’s hope the pattern repeats here. » thus declares the Briton, forgetting his Italian misadventure at Monza.
But confidence seems to be on this side of the Mercedes garage this weekend: “We have done a lot of miles. I feel very comfortable in the car. Once again, great work by the guys in the garage, as they have done all year. I have been here [in Sepang] since last Saturday, so I have had time to prepare well for the weekend. I have received incredible support since I arrived,” concluded the Briton.
